COVID-19 Coronavirus Planning

Dated: February 28, 2020

The International Conference on Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (CS MANTECH 2020) is scheduled to take place as planned May 11-14 in Tucson Arizona, U.S.A. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the CS MANTECH organizing committee is closely monitoring the ongoing potential impact for our attendees and exhibitors. We are fully committed to taking appropriate precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment for the community.

The situation is evolving rapidly. The U.S. Government has taken steps to mitigate the concerns regarding COVID-19. This includes (effective February 2nd) suspending entry of any foreign national who has been to mainland China within the past 14 days. Please reference links below for more information. Under current restrictions, individuals who have been in mainland China (originating or visiting) within 14 calendar days will be unable to participate in-person at CS MANTECH 2020 due to travel restrictions barring access to the U.S.

CS MANTECH is planning to implement practices to improve safety for registrants, exhibitors and onsite personnel, including availability of hand sanitizer, heightened awareness of transmission risk, and promotion of a ‘touch-free’ exhibition and conference. We will communicate the adoption of a ‘no-handshake policy’, advocate the reduction or elimination of business card exchanges, encouraging electronic technologies to share contact information.

We will continue to monitor developments, and our planning will be updated appropriately, in coordination with the conference hotel. CS MANTECH will endeavor to provide a safe and healthy environment for all attendees. We strongly urge exhibitors and attendees to follow appropriate guidelines and protocols as suggested by the WHO and other health authorities.
